It’s the second day of the FSI Advocacy Summit/National Discussions here in the nation’s capital, and our track discussions are well underway! Yesterday, the Marketing, Growth, & Development Discussion was held, and attendees explored topics such as how to explain their value proposition to current and prospective clients, marketing advice as it relates to social media, and looking at the investor of the future and how they can effectively serve that market.
Today, the following discussions are currently taking place:
- CEO Discussion – this discussion has brought broker-dealer senior executives together with their peers to share information about important current topics and provide the opportunity to network.
- Compliance Discussion – broker-dealers talk compliance with colleagues and learn about overcoming the hurdles of an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
- Investment Advisory Services Discussion – broker-dealers are taking this opportunity to talk about the skills, strategies, and knowledge needed to succeed in the business of wealth management.
- Operations/Technology Discussion – operations and technology executives and managers shared ideas and exchange views on all aspects of independent broker-dealers operations.
Tomorrow, we head to Capitol Hill to talk to members of Congress about the most important issues currently facing our industry, so stay tuned!
